27 April 2007, Sgt. Scott T. Lindberg, from Headquarters and Support Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, fishes off of the North side of Hadithah Dam in Hadithah, Iraq. The dam is used by Marines from 1/3 as an operating base, where they conduct operations out of. 1/3 is deployed with Multi National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
